2 weeks ago, we started learning some new vocabulary about "food". Our basic words to learn were the following: rice, sardines, chicken, sausages, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, tuna, egg, bread.

Our basic structure to learn is : Do you like ( tomatoes) ? / Yes, I like tomatoes- Yes, I do. No, I don't like tomatoes- No, I don't.

Last  week, we learnt more vocabulary about food, including vegetables and fruits. The fruits we had been learning are : orange, banana, apple, pineapple, cheery, coconut, grapes, lemon, lime, mango, pear, watermelon, pear. The vegetables we had been learning are : peas, beans, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, lettuce.

We are going to go on revising the structures "Do you like...? , I like/ I don't like" within the context of "Food". This week, we also finished reading and acting about our story "Let's go fishing". Imitating the characters of the story while reading was a real fun! :) Here is the photo of the books our students made :)

We also started learning about food groups this week and we are going to do a project next week about these food groups. The food groups we are learning are fruits, vegetables, cereals, dairy, fish and meat.

Hello everyone! After our semester holiday, we are back again, with full of energy and joy :) Before giving information about what we have been doing during two weeks, let's have a look at how the projects that our students prepared are :) They prepared those lovely projects about wild animals and they also drew and coloured their imaginary birds, giving information to us about their features as well :) At the beginning of the 2nd term, they presented their projects to me and to their classmates. Talking about their animals in front of the whole class was a tough task, but they managed to do it. Congrats!

As a new unit, we started "Wild Animals" last week. As a beginning, we started learning several wild animal names in the context of what those animals can or cannot do. We are going to go further in this topic and then we are going to  keep on learning about those animals:   what they have got as body parts, what their features are ( their colours, their sizes etc). We are going to do this unit for four weeks. Our students know most of the animal names from the last year. However, we are adding some new animal names to the ones already known ;) Below, you can see the list of wild animals we are going to learn :

elephant, crocodile, zebra, lion, tiger, lizard, penguin, bat, hippo, giraffe, snake, parrot, monkey, wolf, fox, dolphin, bear, gorilla.

Here are some wild and other animals songs that you can listen at home with your kids :)

Have a nice week!

Happy new year to everyone! May this new year be full of happiness and joy for all of you:) It has been a long time since we couldn't share what we are doing in our lessons; but we are coming back with two nice projects we did. The first one is our Venn diagrams! In order to categorize the objects according to certain qualities of them, we use these diagrams. Here are our projects:

The second project we did were about our clothes :) We  coloured the pictures of a boy and girl, we gave names to them and we wrote about what they were wearing. Look how nice they were coloured and how our kids wrote wonderful sentences about them :)
